I'm using a Vello flash trigger with a b800, and cannot make it work! I got a mono adapter so that the cord would work, but now, testing it, I'm finding that the light is firing when I press the shutter halfway in order to focus, rather than when I actually take the photo. Or rather, I should say that it only fires when the shutter button is halfway pressed-- if I skip that step entirely, it does not fire at all. Obviously, that makes it completely useless. Does anyone have even the slightest clue why it's doing this? Because I'm at a loss....

Update: I have since used the cord from the Vello trigger to plug the b800 directly into my camera (a Canon Rebel T3, for reference) which does not have a PC port. Even connecting the light directly to my camera, it still only fires when the shutter is pressed halfway.

How are you plugging into the camera, since it has no PC port? Are you using the 1/8 jack on the side of the camera in any of the configurations?
