Hi can vagabond II portable power drive d2 from profoto

Profoto says d2 need 800 watt portable power. can vagabond II serve it ?

We have not tested the Profoto D2, so we cannot say for sure. Reports are the VMLs will not work, but we have not heard from VLX or VII users.

The Vagabond Lithium Extreme can power the Profoto D2. I had to update the latest firmware on the D2 for it to work. One thing to note, the D2 will shut off if using HSS above power level 9.2.

I have now tested vagabond 2 with profoto d2 it kann not power it. The Profoto do not go on.

Have you tried with the slow recycle mode?

Hm I do not know now what mode was on slow or speed. It go not on and i have had scared it can destroy my d2 profoto.

I can try again an then report you if you have interest

Can i be sure that it will not destroy D2 profto flashstrobe?

It is unlikely to damage the flash, but I cannot speak in absolutes, as we have not done our own tests. I do not know of any claims where lights have been damaged use with a VII.

Hi now works all fine.

I have updated D2 with new firmware and

now there is an option to shoose recycling speed.(profoto says it shall be enable to use(weak external power packs). I can shoose between max speed,50% and 25 %
recycling speed on d2. Now I tested 'Vagabond 2 with 25 % receicling speed on profoto d2.

It work fine, ttl and hss all works, and hss at 100 % power level no trouble. It take about 1 or 1,5 second to recycling at voll power. now I can drive my two einstein with profoto togeter.
