I have the modeling light off, but I'm trying to reduce the flash intensity to half power. I move the slider on the back, but nothing changes. Any ideas? I'm shooting with the Nikon D750.

So, when you move the slider, does the ready light (on the back) go from green to red?

Do you have anything plugged into the telephone jack of the light?

If you turn the model lamps on, do they get brighter and dimmer with the slider?
