Last time I used my X800 was about a month ago. Today I went to use it for the first time in about a month. The modeling light works. It will not work with the sync cord, but it will work with the Test Flash button. The green light is on, tho I did see it flicker a little. What could be wrong? I’ve had this unit for 12+ years.

If it works with the test button, but not the sync cord, I would expect a bad sync cord. Do you have another cord to try?

Does it flash when another flash is fired (and the sync cord is not plugged in)? Please note, it could be out of sync, depending on your tests. I am only looking to see if it fires.

Trying my other sync cord worked. Problem solved. Thank you. Time to order a replacement.
