I have the orange vagabond battery system. I'm getting a long beep and sometimes the flash will not work.

If its the battery. Can I use the converter with the new VLX system. Or do I need to ditch the whole thing.

I'm a little tired of lugging the weight around.

The long beep is indicative of a low battery. A replacement battery would remedy this, and you can look for a 12220 style battery as a replacement.

The VLX battery will not work for a variety of reasons, the main being it is a 25.6Vdc battery and the VII inverter has a 12Vdc input.
