My camera, the Olympus EM 1, has an official sync speed of 1/250, though will reliably sink at 1/320 with the cybersync. However, with a PC cord I get a reliable sink at 1/400 and a very consistent small black bar at 1/500. Unfortunately the cybersync starts showing a significant black bar at 1/400.

If the cybersync units support 1/2500 because of low latency, why is there a difference between the set ups?

I'm using DB 800s

Even though it is low latency, it is not "no latency". There will inherently be a latency difference between radio and sync cable.
