White Lightnings - the spring lever and four clamps used to mount a softbox to the lamp is getting dry and/or dirty. When I mount a softbox I have to push the lever partially back by hand or the clamps won't grip 100%.

Can I spray some WD40 or graphite on it to loosen it up without ruining the lamp or myself?

Thanks, Russ

We do not recommend spraying lube into the light. It can get on parts it shouldn't and cause more damage. Ideally, it should be sent in for repair.
