Each time I turn on the X1600, I get the audible warning sound. The flash still fires and the model lamp is still fine.

I left the unit on the standby mode for days using the cyber commander until this sound came on.

Does the flash do this if the reciever is completely removed from the light? (meaning RJ11 and power cord are all removed and the light goes directly to the wall)? Also, try reseating the flash tube. Does the sound only happen during a flash, or is it at all times, and the flash will still fire anyway?

The alarm still sounds when I attempted the following:
(1)Removed every wires except the plug that's attached to the wall.
(2)Reseated the flashed tube.
(3)Swapped the flash tube from my other working X1600.
(3)Removed the flash tube and the modeling lamp.

The alarms there all the time, except when it flashes, then once it's done recycling, it continues to alarm.

What should I do about this?

One other thing you can check is swapping AC power sources. If the problem persists, then the light will need to come in for a repair.
