How are all of you using the beauty dish? My friend used the beauty dish with the AB boom arm, but I see that the boom is discontinued.

Does it work well with the offset? I saw the disclaimer on the offest:

"Please note: With the location of the mounting block on AlienBees, and the flat rear surface of the new HOBD and HOBD-W, there is not any additional range of motion"

Are you using another boom with the AB stand or another stand entirely?

Trying to figure out what kind of stand setup I should purchase with my beauty dish.

Thanks!!

Thanks for the link. I tried to search for beauty dish before posting, but...

"The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: beauty dish.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards."

I use an Einstein + Silver HOBD on an Avenger C-stand w/ grip arm. Works well for me... and very stable. Here's the link to it on BH: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/289149-REG/Avenger_A2030DCBKIT_AVA2030DCB_Turtle_Base_Century.html

I use this exact same stand/arm for all my lights--very solid, supports/positions a variety of modifiers in almost any position. Highly recommend this stand.
