Dear Paul C Buff,

it might be a bit off-topic but i find it directly related,
I am a student, experimenting coil gun effects, which is very similar to photo-flash application in the terms of fast and high power release.
I saw you could integrate an IGBT for controlling more than 500 Joules in your photo flash product.
That is impressive, and I would like to be able to apply this method for controlling the coil system.

I would be thankful if you could advise about what type of IGBT you use for such high energy.
I have tried parallel IGBTs but they dont last.

Thank you so much for your reply, this can advance us a lot with the experiment !
our experiment is educational and not commercial in any manner.

Thank you,
Eliya
