I don't know much about battery language and all, but I'd like to use Vagabond II with a smaller, lighter weight battery. My questions: -What is meant by "smaller" batteries? -How will smaller batteries affect performance? (i.e., how many pops will I get compared to the battery that comes with Vagabond II) |

In the world of lead-acid batteries smaller and lighter generally mean less energy stored. So that means less pops. Batteries tend to be rated in amp-hours (AH). The standard VII battery is 20 AH. Using a "smaller" battery such as a 15 AH will result in less pops by roughly the ratio of the comparative AH ratings (25% fewer pops in this case). You probably want to stick with 12 volt batteries. |

So... If Vagabond II with (1) B800 gives me 1200 full power pops according to the spec sheet, a 10 AH battery will give me 600 full power pops? If so, that's great because I don't shoot on full power much anyway. |

here is a link to another thread that discusses this fully: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=44&start=10&hilit=smaller+battery+resistance |
