Post subject:  Using CST and CSRB with multiple frequencies

I'm using the CST transmitter with two flashes, each with a separate CSRB receiver. My desire is to set each flash to a different frequency so I can choose which flash I want to fire by selecting the frequency on the transmitter. For example, one receiver set to frequency 1 and the other set to frequency 5. That allows me to set the transmitter to 1 to fire one flash, then if I'd rather shoot with the other flash, I set the transmitter to 5. What I'm finding is that dialing up a new frequency doesn't work on the first fire. It seems to take a couple test fires to get the transmitter syncing with the new frequency. Anyone know why? Should I expect some type of consistent behavior, e.g. it takes 2 test flashes to resync the frequency. Right now it feels a bit unreliable because I don't know what behavior to expect from it. Is there a way to get it to fire on the other frequency on the first try after switching frequencies?

Thanks for any help.

The CST will take 2 presses/actuations to resync to a new frequency. This is a function of its firmware. Cyber Commander along with CSR/B+ recievers can do this with a flick of a joystick. Also, one light can be placed in multiple groups. As well, this fuction can still be used on flash units which are not Paul C Buff lights.

Skyport acts the same . . . transmitter doesn't change frequency until you fire it after making the change.
