I've just received the front baffle for my 51" white PLM V2. While the baffle mounts very easily and securely, I'm a bit concerned that the umbrella rib ends (which are cut flat, not rounded) are going to poke holes in the baffle fabric. Is the front baffle intended to be used only with the black back cover in place? That would make sense if the back cover itself is mounted using round-ended metal caps that slip over the PLM rib ends. It would be appreciated if you would describe just how the back PLM cover is intalled.

They mount like you descrbe. the tips on the black fabric are the same as those on the white, however. I dont think hole poking will be much of a problem.

Thanks for the speedy reply. However, based on what I'm seeing, I'm not sure I can agree that hole poking won't be much of a problem:

Of course, I do hope you're right.
