I just unpacked my Einstein V 2 that arrived while I was traveling.

I set it the same as my V1 that I have been using for a month.

On Full Power, it barely flashes as much as my V1 at 1/256th power. No model lights at all. The Ready light never makes it to Green. DOA or a setting or connection I should investigate?

I can add that it won't communicate with the Cyber Commander either.

I'm having the same problem with one of the two Einsteins I just received last Wednesday. Version 22 firmware. At first I thought it was a seating problem with the power cord into the unit, but now it seems to be failing to fire at power constantly, and the ready icon never turns green.

As a follow-on, I'm beginning to think it might be a firmware issue -- I can get the 250W halogen to turn on, but only once; when the flash "fires" (more like "barely flickers"), the lamp goes out and stays out, no matter what I do. Selecting "Bootload" from the diagnostics menu doesn't help.

As another data point, my diagnostics screen on the Einstein that's acting up has the following values displayed:

Cap PWM: 96.8% 496V
Model PWM: 0.0%
Gate Time: 2280uS

In contrast, the Einstein that's still working has these values:

Cap PWM: 35.5% 182V
Model PWM: 0.0%
Gate Time: 200uS

No idea if any of these mean anything.

Rikkflohr, remove the CSXCV entirely and see if the unit will function normally without it. If that doesn't work, we will likely need to swap the unit.

Gwood, It is not a firmware issue, it sounds ardware related. Yours will certainly need to be swapped. BTW, bootload wont do anything unless a micro SD card was installed with firmware.
